Shortly after going ‘Instagram official’ at the weekend, Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have taken the next step in their relationship. That being, the very permanent display of affection via a tattoo. During an interview on The Ellen Degeneres Show (watch the clip below), the reality star revealed that her beau has several tattoos in honour of her.
There has been speculation that he was inked for the Skims founder, and when asked by the host for details, Kardashian replied, “he has a few tattoos, a few cute ones.” She was sure to clarify that the “KIM” ink isn’t a tattoo but “branding”.
“Let me explain it,” she said. “He wanted to do something that was really different. First tattoo he got, I was like, ‘Oh, so cute, thank you! Oh my god!’ Second, whatever, I’m like, ‘Oh, that’s so cute.’ But that’s what tattoo people do, right? They get tattoos of what’s going on in their life.”
According to the beauty mogul her favourite reads, “My girl is a lawyer.” As for the aforementioned branding, Kardashian confirmed it was an “iron thing that went onto his body”.
“Yes…I just think he was like, ‘I want something that’s there that I can’t, you know, get rid of my tattoos,'” she explained. “He’s in the process of getting rid of his arm tats and his neck tats. So he’s like, ‘I don’t want to be able to get rid of it or cover it up and I just wanted it there as like a scar on me.'”
This relationship has gone from the down-low to turbo at whiplashing speed.
Kardashian posted a PDA-fuelled rolodex of happy snaps on Instagram at the weekend, the first of what we hope is many. “I guess it’s not official until you post,” Kim quipped to Degeneres. “I have the cutest pictures of us and I want to be like, ‘Oh my god, we’re so cute!’ But then I’m like, ‘Don’t be so desperate, don’t be posting so much, just give a glimpse.'”
