Amid all the chaos and controversy that surrounds Kim Kardashian’s divorce and subsequent relationship with Pete Davidson, the reality star has remained relatively silent throughout. This unlikely pairing has us all both completely intrigued and baffled (surely she doesn’t have sleepover at his house?!) and it is exactly why we can’t wait for the new release of The Kardashians.

In a rare interview with Variety in the lead up to the reality television reboot, Kardashian briefly discussed her relationship with the Saturday Night Live comedian and, exactly what we can expect of his involvement in the show. Unfortunately for you and I, the beauty mogul admitted she did not film with him but he will be mentioned throughout the series.

She will address, “how we met and who reached out to who and how it happened and all the details that everyone wants to know. I’m definitely open to talking, and I definitely explain it.”

“I’m not opposed to [filming with Pete]. It’s just not what he does,” Kardashian explained. “But if there was an event happening and he was there, he wouldn’t tell the cameras to get away. I think I might film something really exciting coming, but it wouldn’t be for this season.”

As for Kardashian’s tumultuous divorce, it will also be addressed in the upcoming series, albeit, delicately. “Being in the public eye and having disagreements publicly is never easy,” she said of her and West. “But I do believe in handling it all privately. I believe in championing publicly and criticising privately. I don’t think I would ever criticise the father of my children on my TV show. That’s just not really what I’m about, and I just don’t think that would ever make me feel good.”

“I’m always really respectful of what the kids will see,” she added. “The reality is, we’re always a family. We always will have a love and respect for each other. And even if there’s moments where it might not seem like that, there are so many moments that are super positive. I do think it’s important for people to see that things aren’t perfect all the time, but that they can get better.”

West has currently moved on from rebound girlfriend and muse, Julia Fox, to Kardashian lookalike Chaney Jones.
