Kim Kardashian and Kanye West

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s marriage may be faded.

Page Six has reported that “divorce is imminent” for the high-profile couple and that the reality starlet has hired powerful divorce attorney to the stars, Laura Wasser, whose clients include Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.

“They are keeping it low-key but they are done,” a source told the outlet. “Kim has hired Laura Wasser and they are in settlement talks.”’

It’s no secret the couple’s marriage has been on thin ice lately. The Grammy winner and Skims designer did not spend the holidays together this year — the “Fade” rapper was in Wyoming, while the Kardashian clan was in California.

“Kim got Kanye to go up there [Wyoming] so they could live separate lives and quietly get things sorted out to separate and divorce. She’s done,” the insider added.

Even though the 40-year-old has publicly stuck by her man in the past — even through his delusional presidential run and mental health struggles — the E! personality has thought things over and realised this is the best decision for the pair.

“Now this divorce is happening because Kim has grown up a lot,” the source added. “She is serious about taking the bar exam and becoming a lawyer, she is serious about her prison reform campaign. Meanwhile Kanye is talking about running for president and saying other crazy s**t, and she’s just had enough of it.”

However, the 43-year-old doesn’t seem like he will be too upset about not being associated with the famous brood anymore. The Yeezy designer “is completely over the entire family …. He wants nothing to do with them,” another source revealed.

2020 was a particularly challenging year for Kimye. In July, during West’s first presidential campaign rally in South Carolina, the “Birthday Party” candidate cried on stage, claimed Harriet Tubman “never actually freed the slaves and accused wife of having considered aborting daughter, North.

He followed up the bizarre event with a wild Twitter rant where he referred to his mother-in-law Kris Jenner as Kris Jong Un, claimed the movie Get Out was about him, and said he’d been “trying to get divorced” ever since his wife met with rapper, Meek Mill, to discuss prison reform.

His comments forced Kardashian to speak out on social media revealing her husband was in the grips of a bipolar episode.

“As many of you know, Kanye has bipolar disorder,” she began a message on her Instagram Story. “Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does, knows how incredibly complicated and painful it is to understand. I’ve never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children and Kanye’s right to privacy when it comes to his health. But today I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health.”

“He is a brilliant but complicated person who on top of the pressures of being an artist and a Black man, who experienced the painful loss of his mother, and has to deal with the pressure and isolation that is heightened by his bipolar disorder,” she continued. “Those who are close with Kanye know his heart and understand his words sometimes do not align with his intentions. Living with bipolar disorder does not diminish his dreams and his creative ideas, no matter how big or unobtainable they may feel to some.”

“I kindly ask that the media and public give us the compassion and empathy that is needed so that we can get through this,” she went on. “Thank you for those who have expressed concern for Kanye’s well being and for your understanding.”

Just a few months ago, the Keeping Up With The Kardashian star was said to be “considering her options when it comes to her future” with West, according to a source and she had “divorce options planned out if it comes to that.”

The duo tied the knot in Italy in 2014 and share four children: North, 7, Saint, 5, Chicago, 2, and Psalm, 19 months.
