For a while there, it looked like Kim Kardashian and Kanye West’s divorce would be surprisingly amicable. He helped her out with her SNL performance and she helped him out with his Donda release album. They both attended the Louis Vuitton show in memorial of Virgil Abloh together and they’ve been simultaneously wearing Balenciaga almost exclusively. In fact, the brand has been dressing both Kardashian and West’s new girlfriend Julia Fox—who coincidentally loves the Kardashians and has a history of working with Kim’s new man Pete Davidson—if that isn’t one big, weird happy family, I don’t know what is.

But lately, things between West and Kardashian have continued to sour, ever since the rapper publicly accused his ex-wife of actively trying to keep him away from his daughter, Chicago’s, birthday party. Over the weekend, West went public again, this time posting a photo of his eldest child, North, to Instagram, asking what he can do to stop her being on TikTok without his consent. This prompted Kardashian to issue a rare public response calling out Kanye’s “constant attacks,” which she says are far more damaging than North’s supervised social media use.

Of course, no one wants to see a messy divorce, especially one with children involved. Not only are we desperate for things to calm down, but so too is Fox, who reportedly wants her new boyfriend and Kardashian to work things out.

Though it’s unlikely the Uncut Gem’s actress is rooting for a Kimye reconciliation in the romantic sense—she’s currently enjoying birthday Birkens and trips to Paris as his main muse, as she should be—but as she’s recently gone through a similar situation with her ex-partner, she understands how hard the situation is for everyone involved.

“Julia’s been in the same predicament, so she understands that divorces are messy and when kids are involved it makes it almost impossible,” a source close to the actress told Page Six. “She just wants them to resolve their issues.”

The source is, of course, referencing the Christmas Instagram stories situation of Fox’s, where she publicly called out her former partner Peter Artemiev, with whom she has a young son called Valentino. “This man left me with a 5 month old and a dog and a home and ALL THE BILLS. It’s wrong!!! It’s not fair,” Fox wrote at the time, with Artemiev going on to deny the “utterly false statements”.

Fox has since apologised to Artemiev on her podcast, Forbidden Fruits, where she spoke directly to him through the mic saying, “You’re not a deadbeat. I know that you’re not and I know that it wasn’t that you weren’t trying to see Valentino, it’s that you weren’t trying to see me.” Fox went on to explain had written the post at a time when “everyone had Covid” and she hadn’t heard from him for over a month.

Anyone else rooting for Kanye and Kim to make up so we can have a family plus Julia Fox holiday, a la Sofia, Scott and Kourtney? Please, Kris Jenner, think of the children Hulu show!
