Kendall Jenner is the undisputed queen of modern elegance, so naturally her nail game is consistently chic. The star’s nails have been subject to a multitude of stylish designs this year, but her latest efforts – a French manicure with tortoiseshell-inspired tips – might be our favourite yet.

Jenner turned to celebrity nail artist Lisa Kon to do up her digits for the annual Kardashian holiday party. The model revealed her fresh French tortoise tips on Instagram, which she paired with an hourglass black floor-length Carolina Herrera gown for the notoriously star-studded soirée.

Jenner’s holiday nails featured swirling tortoiseshell detailing in the classic gold, amber, brown and black shades, which were made to look marbled on the tips against a blush base. The design presented a stylish twist to the typical French manicure, with an almond nail shape rounding out the understated aesthetic.

Kon revealed the colours behind the manicure on Instagram, explaining that she had used a combination of shades from her own polish line. “To celebrate Christmas this year @kendalljenner made a French tortoise tip,” she wrote.

She noted that she had used several Lisa Kon gel colours – including Coffee, Mimosa Plant, Black, and Beach Mood – to create the tortoise tips, with Jenner’s “always favourite” base of Lisa Kon Builder Gel in Pinky/Peach. For a precise application, Kon used the Nail Design Liner Exalon and Gel Brush Filbert Synthetic Hair brushes.

The model posted a picture of her final look for the holiday fete to Instagram, with her stunning manicure visible as she held a glass of wine and posed in front of sparkling Christmas decor.

The Kardashian-Jenner clan have remained unusually quiet about their festive bash this year, with rumours swirling that the party was scaled back due to the ongoing surge of COVID-19 cases.

While we’re yet to see further snaps, we’ll settle for Jenner’s holiday manicure for the time being.

Now when’s our next nail appointment?
