Amid the Canadian leg of her tour, Katy Perry has taken time out of her schedule for what seems to be a dinner date with an unexpected local. This Monday, the singer was spotted in Montreal, having dinner with the former Canadian Prime Minster, Justin Trudeau.
Earlier in the day, the pair were spotted on a stroll around Mount Royal Park. The two walked around for an hour, appreciating the city views, before heading off to their dinner reservation at the Le Violon.
As per images obtained by TMZ, Perry and Trudeau were engaged in conversation throughout their meal, which included several dishes and cocktails. At one point the chef came out to greet the duo, however, they also visited the kitchen to thank the staff themselves later on.
Afterwards, the two headed off to the Taverne Atlantic for drinks. Thus far, neither has commented on their outing or the nature of their relationship.

This outing comes after Perry and her then-fiancé Orlando Bloom announced their breakup earlier this month, after 10 years together. They confirmed that they had been split for some time and had been focused on coparenting. A few days later they were spotted out with their 4-year-old daughter and seemed to be amicable.
“They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is — and always will be — raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect,” is what their reps had to say on the matter.
Meanwhile, Trudeau and his wife at the time Sophie Grégoire Trudeau, announced their separation in 2023, after 18 years together. The pair have three children together.
That’s all we know for now regarding the surprising pair, though we’ll definitely stay tuned for updates.
