It was the early 90s when Kate Moss was catapulted to fame thanks to her appearances in Calvin Klein campaigns and the sorts. Today the supermodel returned to her roots as the face of Kim Kardashian’s shapewear giant, SKIMS.

Working with longtime Kardashian collaborator and photographer Donna Trope, Moss posed in the brand’s plunging bralettes, cozy loungewear and teeny tiny underwear. And honestly, the fashion icon hasn’t aged a day.

According to the 47-year-old, the partnership was an organic one. “I’ve been a fan of SKIMS since day one,” Moss says. “What Kim is doing with the brand is so fresh and modern, making underwear women actually want and that fits perfectly: I wear it, my daughter wears it – even my mum wears it!”

“I first met Kate in 2014 through Riccardo Tisci, and was instantly struck by her cheeky humour, authentic and classic beauty – we’ve been friends ever since!,” Kardashian tweeted at the release of the campaign. “She is THE fashion icon, defining a whole generation of style and I am honoured to feature her as the new face of @SKIMS this Summer!”

In early July the collaborative duo embarked on a tour of Vatican City together with Moss’ daughter, Lila Moss.

SKIMS first entered the market in 2019 and was praised for its game-changing shapewear. “I thought, ‘Wow, if I can’t find a shade colour, think of all the women out there who couldn’t find their colour either’,” Kardashian told GRAZIA. “I found something I felt was missing in the marketplace and made sure we filled it.”

Last month it was announced that the brand would provide the undergarments and pyjamas for Team USA Olympians and Paralympians at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.

Last week it was revealed Kardashian’s beauty line KKW would be closing for a rebrand.
