May your marriage be as intense and long lasting as my hangover from this weekend 💘

Spare a thought for Karlie Kloss and Joshua Kushner’s wedding planners, who had the thankless task of seating Ivanka Trump in a room full of anti-Trump celebrities.

On the weekend Karlie and Joshua – brother of Jared Kushner, who is an adviser to President Trump and also married to his daughter Ivanka – held a second wedding in the US state of Wyoming (they first got married in a small ceremony last year).

The guest list spanned the full spectrum of political views, from Ivanka and Jared, actual members of the Trump family and administration, to outspoken critics of the president, including Katy Perry, Orlando Bloom, Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher.

Photos shared on Instagram of the ‘wild west’ themed celebration at luxury resort Brush Creek Ranch show everyone seeming to have a fun time. But even if the seating chart was bullet-proof, there had to have been some awkward moments.

Party on the prairie 🤠

It’s hard to imagine, if they were the only people washing their hands in the women’s bathroom at the time, how Katy Perry and Ivanka Trump could possibly manage to make small talk. Perry has previously revealed she can’t even say Trump’s name.

“I was really disheartened for a while; it just brought up a lot of trauma for me,” she said in 2017.

“Misogyny and sexism were in my childhood: I have an issue with suppressive males and not being seen as equal. I felt like a little kid again being faced with a scary, controlling guy.”

Perhaps Ivanka might have preferred to bump into Katy than Mila Kunis. The actress once revealed she got into a fight with one of husband Ashton’s Trump-supporting relatives, and she has been a fierce critic of Trump’s anti-refugee agenda – Kunis immigrated from Ukraine to the US as a child on a religious refugee visa.

But maybe Ivanka was just grateful that Scarlett Johansson wasn’t there.
