Jennifer Lopez has issued a statement in response to criticism of her working relationship with Guess co-founder Paul Marciano.

Lopez was seen looking friendly with Marciano at a Guess event in Los Angeles earlier this week, which she attended as a face of the brand, hours after Kate Upton accused Marciano of sexual harassment.

In response, Lopez said in a statement to E! News:

“My position on these issues is well known, as I have been very vocal about them.

“I do not condone any acts of sexual harassment, violation, or misconduct. Any accusations should be fully and thoroughly investigated. I will continue to support our rights as women.”

Upton took to Twitter on the night of the Guess party to publicly accuse Marciano.

“It’s disappointing that such an iconic women’s brand @GUESS is still empowering Paul Marciano as their creative director #metoo,” she wrote.

“He shouldn’t be allowed to use his power in the industry to sexually and emotionally harass women #metoo.”

Elaborating on the tweets when approached by TMZ days later. “I’m excited to tell my whole story, but a walk to the car is not going to cover it,” she said, adding that it’s a “huge problem” and that “a lot of people around them know about it and need to speak out”.

More to come.
