When it comes to her beauty looks, Jennifer Lopez never misses. The JLo Beauty founder regularly dials up the drama for her hair, makeup and manicures, constantly trying out different trends while still somehow staying true to her signature glamorous aesthetic. And now Lopez has switched up the former yet again, subbing out her classic honey-hued hair for fresh fairy floss pink locks.
The singer’s longtime hairstylist Chris Appleton revealed the transformation of Lopez’s tresses on his Instagram page, captioning a shot of the star with her new pink hair, which was coupled with her iconic bronze smokey eye, glossy lips and high-def glow. “Pink to make the boys wink,” Appleton wrote, before asking fans what they thought of JLo’s vibrant hue.
It’s not the first time that the star has embraced colourful tresses, having donned a wig in a similar rosé hue for a shoot back in October. She also wore an XXL multi-coloured wig for a recent music video, which featured platinum locks streaked with kaleidoscopic hues including purple, blue and yes, pink.
While Appleton and Lopez have yet to confirm whether this hair transformation is of the permanent variety, it perhaps wouldn’t be much of a shock if JLo decided to take her dabbling with vivid pastels one step further with this new candy colour.
However recent shots of Lopez and her boyfriend, Ben Affleck, would appear to suggest the pink hair hasn’t stuck around. The Marry Me was spotted heading to the cinema with their children a few days ago, with her trademark blonde highlights clearly visible as the couple strode arm-in-arm through the streets.
So it seems JLo remains our ultimate beauty chameleon – we can’t wait to see what she tries out next.
