Monday, March 15, 2021: In a joint-statement to People at the weekend, Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have not split.

“We are working through some things,” the couple said. The announcement was then confirmed by a close source

“They never officially broke up and talked about it but are still together. They hit a rough patch. But were not broken up,” the source told the publication.

“She’s working in the Dominican Republic and he’s in Miami so it’s tough seeing each other especially with quarantining and COVID,” the source adds of Lopez and Rodriguez, “but they want to try to stay together.”

A separate insider said, “This was not caused by a third party. Madison [LeCroy] or anyone else. They are working through things.”

Friday, March 12, 2021: First Kim Kardashian and Kanye West and now Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez. The couple has broken up after four years of dating, per reports from Page Six and TMZAccording to sources, their relationship has been rocky as of recent. The latter comes as a surprise to the couple’s fans, as both of them posted photos together for Valentine’s Day and romantic pictures from the Dominican Republic together just last month. At the time of writing, neither party has publicly confirmed the news.

According to reporting from Entertainment TonightLopez called off the relationship following reporting that her husband was physically involved with Southern Charm’s Madison LeCroy. “Jennifer felt like moving forward to marriage wasn’t right,” the insider told the outlet. “Recently, Alex’s character has been called into question and that didn’t sit right with Jennifer. The couple will always have respect for each other.”

The couple first started dating in 2017, just over a decade after they first met at one of the former Yankees’ shortstop baseball games in 2005. They got engaged in March 2019 while on a tropical getaway in the Bahamas. Both Lopez and Rodriguez shared the big news with their fans via an Instagram post showcasing the athlete down on one knee and an up-close look at the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer’s massive emerald-cut diamond engagement ring.

According to the reports, Lopez is currently filming Shotgun Wedding in the Dominican Republic. Meanwhile, Rodriguez is in Miami. Just hours ago, the former Yankees shortstop posted a photo of himself alone on a yacht. In the accompanying caption, he wrote, “Don’t mind me, just taking a sail-fie ⛵️.” Lopez shared her most recent Instagram post yesterday: a montage of old clips of herself laughing. Find a good reason to laugh today,” she wrote in the accompanying caption. “Sending everyone love.”
