Being a Bravo superfan doesn’t always get you far in your career beyond some wild stories to share with your disinterested coworkers by the office water cooler. However, for Jennifer Lawrence, a passion for the Real Housewives franchise has led to a new project.

Partnering up with the Tony-nominated Slave Play creator Jeremy O. Harris and Josh Godfrey, the No Hard Feelings actress is set to produce and star in an upcoming murder mystery inspired by the famous reality series.

While Lawrence is currently the only cast member tied to the film, she’s far from the only A-lister to have voiced their love of the show and will undoubtedly have others clamouring to be part of the project. If we’re lucky, some of the franchise’s icons themselves might make an appearance, as Lawrence is chummy with the likes of Andy Cohen and has been a guest on his show, Watch What Happens Live!, multiple times—even appearing next to Bethenny Frankel and Countess Luann de Lesseps.

Titled The Wives, the Apple original film was reportedly snapped up in a “highly competitive situation” and is still in its early days of development. All that is confirmed regarding the plot is that it is centred on a murder mystery, which conjures up ideas of a titillating whodunnit set in the sprawling gated communities of Beverly Hills, New York City penthouses, or even the mountainous backdrop of Salt Lake City.

We’d also be remiss to ignore the opportunity to recreate Dorina Medley’s 1920s-themed murder mystery party at Blue Stone Manor during season ten of The Real Housewives of New York. Little did the hostess know that her fellow cast members didn’t need a pretend murder to cause a scene, only a little pinot grigio.

As reported by Us Weekly, Countess Luann recently shared a potentially telling snap from her Cabaret show with an unlikely guest: Tilda Swinton. While the actress could simply be a closet Bravo fan herself, it does illicit some excitement about whether she was conducting some research for the role. Perhaps we’ll see her shopping at Herman Munster next…
