Jennifer Lawrence is a new mum! Overnight it was reported that the Hunger Games actress had given birth after TMZ obtained public records that revealed she had delivered in the Los Angeles county. At the time of publishing the gender of the baby is not known nor their name. She shares the baby with husband and art gallery owner, Cooke Maroney.
Both parents do not use social media so it is unclear if we will receive any more information – Kylie Jenner-esque – for some time. The couple were first linked in June 2018. They wed at the Belcourt of Newport mansion in Rhode Island in October 2019 before the pair announced they were expecting in September 2021. Elegant maternity style ensued.
According to Page Six, Lawrence and Maroney met through the actress’ best friend and Hunger Games co-star, Laura Simpson. Lawrence has remained notoriously private about her relationship and rarely addresses it. In one podcast interview however, she referred to Maroney as the “greatest person I’ve ever met.”
“I feel very honored to become a Maroney,” the 31-year-old said on the Naked with Catt Sadler podcast.
In the late term of her pregnancy, Lawrence embarked on a press tour for the release of highly-acclaimed Netflix film Don’t Look Up starring Meryl Streep, Leonardo DiCaprio and Jonah Hill. It was her first film since 2019 and at the global premiere she positively glowed in a Dior Haute couture beaded gown.
During the high-octane event, Lawrence described it as an “out of body” experience. “I’m, like, not here—if that makes sense,” she told E! News. “I’m not processing [it].”
Congratulations to the beautiful couple! Kylie Jenner gave birth earlier this month as did Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Elsewhere, Shia LaBeouf is expecting his first child with on-again off-again girlfriend Mia Goth and Rihanna is pregnant with her first child with A$AP Rocky.
