Jamie Dornan’s name will forever be synonymous with aspiring tantaliser, Christian Grey. Yet, his portrayal of the young billionaire saw the first instalment of E.L. James-penned franchise, Fifty Shades Of Grey, gross AUD $755 million at the worldwide box office in 2015. So I shouldn’t be too hard on him.
Now, news just in from Variety is speculating the 34-year-old actor is in talks to play Will Scarlet, the half little brother of Robin Hood (and a prominent member of his Merry Men), in Liongate’s Robin Hood: Origins. Taron Egerton is set to play the title role and Jamie Foxx to play fellow outlaw Little John.
The film will be partly produced by Leonardo DiCaprio under his Appian Way banner. The most recent RH film starred Australians Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett in 2010. No word yet on a scheduled release date.
