Foundation and mascara are two products that are difficult to get right. But they also form the cornerstone of any good makeup routine, which is why for today’s installation of Inside Vanity, we’re looking at a few new launches across the two categories: Clarins 24H Everlasting Foundation, Clinique Even Better Clinical Serum Foundation, Clinique Lash Power Mascara and Clinique High Impact Mascara.
If you’re into fuller coverage and longer wear, Clarins is a stellar choice because it’s heat/sweat/transfer resistant. But if foundation powered by skincare ingredients sounds appealing, the Clinique Serum Foundation contains vitamin C, hyaluronic acid and salicylic acid to cover and treat simultaneously. It also boasts medium coverage with a fresh, radiant finish.
As for mascara, Lash Power Mascara is a fantastic all rounder as well: it’s light, easy to wear and offers beautiful but believable volume and length. Prefer drama? Go for Clinique High Impact – it’s inky black, rich and the soft, fluffy brush ensures every lash gets lots of product. If you want matte-but-radiant coverage that lasts all day, the Clarins Everlasting Foundation is as good as it gets. It’s lightweight so application is a breeze, but the oil-free formula stays flawless all day (no oxidation, transfer or unwelcome shine). It provides weightless coverage straight up (think a medium-buildable finish), but over time will work to give you skin that’s clear, bright and even.

Mascara is great until it ends up smudging all over your face. That’s where Clinique Lash Power stands out. It’s a gel, so feels weightless on the lashes, and the water-heat resistant formula holds up in all conditions. It removes easily with warm water and light pressure, too.

If you prefer a more dramatic lash, try Clinique’s High Impact formula. It’s super pigmented and the soft, fluffy brush ensures every lash gets a nice, thick coating of product. Expect full, voluminous, fluffy lashes.
