When it comes to beauty, fragrance is about as personal as it gets. It can evoke a mood, tug on your heartstrings, and in some instances a fragrance is even linked to a person’s identity. And whether you’re tied to your signature or love to play the fragrance field, you can’t deny the allure of discovering new season olfactive offerings. So today, we’re looking at three fresh scents in particular: Jimmy Choo I Want Choo EDP, a sweet but sparkling fruity floral juice; Kate Spade New York EDP, a chic glamorous, electric fragrance; and Dolce & Gabbana The Only One Intense EDP, a rich, evocative scent with a citrusy twist.

Jimmy Choo, I WANT CHOO EDP 100ml, $185, SHOP NOW

If you could bottle up a girls night out, this would be it. Sweet and floral with a touch of spice, Jimmy Choo I Want Choo is a bright and playful blend of juicy peach, zingy mandarin, rich jasmine sambac and warm, delicious vanilla. It’s a confident and glamorous scent that’s best served with a party dress, towering stilettos and a glass (or two) of something bubbly. A post-pandemic dream, but you can at least experience it in fragrance form.

Kate Spade New York EDP 100ml, $145, SHOP NOW

Kate Spade is a classic American designer, so it’s no surprise this scent is equally as timeless. Much like its namesake city, this fragrance is bold and colourful and bounding with energy, mostly due to a vibrant cocktail of bergamot, strawberry, rose and ambroxan. It’s feminine and graceful but with an edge, and works well across all seasons.

DOLCE & GABBANA, The Only One EDP Intense 75ml, $204, SHOP NOW

For those who prefer a head-turning scent, it’s got to be Dolce & Gabbana The Only One Intense EDP. Like the entire ‘The One’ franchise, it’s sensual and alluring, but this particular iteration plays on the duality between light and depth. It opens up with a burst of fresh Italian mandarin and orange blossom, but settles into a deep, woody, rich vanilla redolence that’s addictive and mysterious. Wear it if you like to turn heads.
