Despite the odd choker or chunky bracelet, statement earrings are still winning the standout jewellery race for Spring/Summer 2017. Dominating catwalks (and earlobes) across the four major cities, shoulder-grazing earrings are proving to be the on-point way to turn heads this season.

However if you prefer to wear your hair down, don’t despair, ample earring display comes down to a few nimble styling moves. Riding the half-up ponytail wave saw slicked back strands in New York at Altuzarra and in Milan at Dolce and Gabbana, which worked back with their signature Sicillan-inspired earrings perfectly. Or kill two accessory birds with one stone via a hair clip tucked behind one ear, seen at Michael Kors and Bottega Veneta.
