We’re off to the races this week with our first eclipse AND Taurus season (20 March AEST and GMT) coming in hot. It’s a significant change that should feel palpably different – less reactive, but perhaps a little more unpredictable. For Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn people, it’s especially significant as it marks the start of an 18-month period of major change. The good news? You don’t need to do anything; eclipses have a way of clearing out what’s passed its expiry date. All you need to do is be open to new beginnings.

Hot tip: I always recommend you read your rising sign for the most resonant advice. If you don’t know it, you can work it out by casting your chart here. Want to learn more? ARIES AND ARIES RISING

It’s all about the long game this week as the seed of a fresh new storyline begins to take root. Keep your eyes peeled for clues as the week unfolds and sudden to where you’ll be called to redefine your sense of self and stand your ground. Don’t stress if it doesn’t go to plan – you’ll have plenty of practice over the next year or two.

TAURUS AND TAURUS RISING

Your home-season kicks off with a bang on Thursday as the solar eclipse simultaneously ushers in a two-week period of big shifts. The key is to (try) to stay unattached to the outcome, as hard as it may be. Stay open to unexpected intel/advice/or inspo – especially Friday when a new perspective could change the way you think about an ongoing bugbear.

GEMINI AND GEMINI RISING

Brace yourself for an action-packed week when an eclipse and Mercury retrograde signal a change of heart. While the solar eclipse on Thursday begins a new storyline – particularly around your friends and social network, the next day Mercury’s station could reveal a surprising truth about something – or someone – you usually try to avoid. Remember, what you resist, persists.

CANCER AND CANCER RISING

Make the most of the quiet start to the week as the balsamic moon invites you to slow down and switch off from the world. You’ll be grateful you preserved energy ahead of Thursday’s solar eclipse which cues fireworks around your work. Meanwhile Mercury retrograde starts with a bang when new information – courtesy of a friend – makes you second-guess your judgement.

LEO AND LEO RISING

In the immortal words of En Vogue, “Free your mind, and the rest will follow”. That’s the name of the game this week as Mercury retrograde (Friday AEST and GMT) challenges you to come at things from an entirely new perspective. Turns out that project or goal that’s been hasn’t been taking off at work is because you haven’t quite nailed it just yet. Loosen up and you could find a fix in the most unlikely of places.

VIRGO AND VIRGO RISING

No one savours planning a big trip like you, but if you’ve locked in travel details the past couple of weeks, now is the time to reconfirm – just in case. With Mercury and Uranus promising unexpected developments in your travel sphere this week, the potential for delays, crossed wires and cancellations is major. Plan B (and maybe even Plan C) never looked so good.

LIBRA AND LIBRA RISING

Things are about to get seriously interesting as eclipse season marks a new brave new era in your closest relationships. Exhilarating partnerships, collaborations and romance are all on the cards as the planets signal a bright beginning for your most important bonds. It won’t happen overnight, but it will happen.

SCORPIO AND SCORPIO RISING

An unexpected plot twist could shift the focus in your closest relationships this week as Mercury retrograde shifts the mood to “we’re definitely not done talking about this”. The surprise kicks off three weeks where you’ll get to retrace conversations you thought were put to bed. Reserve judgement and wait to see how things play out. The only certainty? It’s not what you think…

SAGITTARIUS AND SAGITTARIUS RISING

Ready for a warm change? Like an unseasonably warm change, the eclipse on Thursday promises a spicy new era of hook-ups and spontaneous trysts. If you’re in a relationship the new mood could help reignite a spark previously stifled by Real Life. Meanwhile Mercury retrograde (Friday onwards) has the potential to cause chaos in your calendar. Confirm, reconfirm then reconfirm again.

CAPRICORN AND CAPRICORN RISING

Do you like where you live? Are you feeling supported on a creative level? It’s all up for discussion this week as the eclipse and Mercury retrograde bring a special blend of “fresh start” to proceedings. This is less about taking action and more about rolling with the changes as they present themselves – and they will.

AQUARIUS AND AQUARIUS RISING

Late this week, unsolicited advice from family or flatmates could have you reconsidering just about everything over the coming weeks. It’s less about trying to turn things upside down on a whim and more about being ok to let go of things (or people) as they start to pull away. The end of one chapter always marks the beginning of another.

PISCES AND PISCES RISING

Swimming in your subconscious will serve you well early in the week as the balsamic moon and Neptune have you feeling extra dreamy. As things pick up, the eclipse on Thursday kicks off a new story around cash and salary. Pay attention to any sudden changes and don’t hold on too tight. Mercury retrograde invites you to revisit decisions made over the past couple of weeks. Stay open to ambiguity, now is a time for thinking not doing.
