In a celebration of collaboration this month, eponymous jeweller Holly Ryan has launched her next ethereal and luxurious collection, El Agua Mágica. The English translation means “The Magical Waters” which was reimagined into a idyllic short film shot, created, produced and directed by her collaborative partners.

The five-minute video was shot on 60mm film and follows a girl living on a deserted island who discovers the tangible and intangible treasures of the natural world. As with all Ryan’s beloved creations, the latest offering of handmade jewellery is inspired by nature, celebrating the beauty and life-giving energy of the ocean that supports our planet. An injection of pearls, rainbow sapphires, a sun of diamonds and vibrant new designs come together to form a bright new curation to be worn and loved by generations.

The pieces pull inspiration from a famous quote from by Carl Jung: “Back to the sea again where the overstimulated psyche can recover in the presence of that infinite spaciousness.”

A key piece – which was years in the making – is the El Agua Mágica Sun Ring; an heirloom treasure crafted from recycled solid gold and set with a Half-Moon Diamond and 5 Marquise Diamonds. Elsewhere, the Holly Ryan brand has become known for entirely bespoke and genderless designs which this season also features Organic and Wide Wabi Sabi Rings. It is now set with a full spectrum rainbow of 6 Sapphires around the band which is completely customisable.

Ryan has also collaborated with campaign photographer Taylah Golden to create a bespoke El Agua Mágica headscarf, used as a prop in the film, that will be available for purchase with the collection in limited numbers.

Every piece is lovingly hand-crafted by Ryan and a small team of skilled artisans between their Coolum Beach and Surry Hills studios using responsibly sourced and recycled materials. In a bid to assist not only to the environment but local communities, Holly Ryan will be donating $1 from every purchase to either Bularri Muurlay Nyangga or The Seabin Project as chosen by the customer.
