The day Isabel Marant opened her Autumn Winter 2018 show with Dolly Parton’s hit Jolene, the fashion industry’s compass flipped hard west. Marant’s models, decked out in prairie-style dresses and cowboy boots, were the perfect baseline for the western fashion trend that’s all-pervasive this season and likely to linger.

Of course, Marant wasn’t alone in her ode to the Urban Cowgirl. Raf Simons put a futuristic spin on his western-look Calvin Klein 205W39NYC collection with plaid dresses, panelled shirts, and masculine tailored pants.

There were neckerchiefs at Fendi, western prints and fringing at Chloè, this stunning New Mexico-vibe coat (pictured) at Hêrmes, and cowboy boots in many guises at Dolce & Gabbana, Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini, and Coach 1941. Saddle-up ladies; where Dolly leads, we follow.
