Jodie Turner-Smith knows how to make a statement with her makeup at the best of times, but her look at the 2023 BAFTAs (British Academy Film and Television Awards) quite literally rendered us speechless.

The actress took cues from her glittered lilac Gucci gown, wearing shimmering violet shadow, framed by a swooping purple wing with silver accents. As if that wasn’t fantastic enough, she also wore crystal freckles across her nose and cheeks; an incredible beauty feat by her makeup artist, Joey Choy.
Choy exclusively used Charlotte Tilbury products to create the look, specifically the The Feline Flick liner in Panther, Eye Colour Magic Liner Duo in Super Blue, Colour Chameleon shadow in Amethyst Aphrodisiac and Hypnotising Pop Shot in Pillow Talk Ultra Violet.
Turner-Smith’s skin was kept clean, her brows groomed but natural, and her lips subtly glossed (with the Charlotte Tilbuty Collagen Lip Bath in Refresh Rose.
Tilbury herself said it best when she shared Turner-Smith BAFTAs look on Instagram, alongside the caption, “Are we all obsessed with this violet moment, darlings!”
Turner-Smith was one of many glittering celebrities in attendance on the night. Florence Pugh walked the red carpet, as did winner Cate Blanchett, Ana Taylor-Joy, Ana de Armas and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge (the latter of whom recycled a white Alexander McQueen gown, paired with black satin opera gloves and a pair of Zara earrings).
