Harry Styles is in Australia, we repeat: Harry Styles is in Australia. The ‘Watermelon Sugar’ artist has kicked off his national tour Down Under with a first stop in Perth, and he’s already blown fans’ minds and made headlines with his antics.

Fans queued up for hours in the hot Western Australian heat wave temperatures to get perfect positions to see their favourite artist, who played for almost two hours at HBF Park. The show was a total success, even Grey’s Anatomy star turned West Coast honorary Aussie Kate Walsh ended up in the pit with fans.

So, what can the rest of Australia expect from their concerts? First up, plenty of impeccable fashion choices. As expected, Styles brought the sequins and the 70s aesthetic with him for his Australian tour. Secondly, we’ve finally got a set list that’s indicative of what Harry Styles will be playing across the country. We don’t want to spoil the line up for you, but just know that many of your favourites – Golden, Kiwi, What Makes You Beautiful, As It Was – are all on the list.

Somehow, the crowd convinced Harry Styles to do a shoey (fill up his sneaker with a drink, then gulp it down) which is something we probably didn’t need to see but we’re seeing it anyway. Let’s maybe not make him do any more of these? Petition to ban shoeys forever, thanks.

The part of his concert fans are raving about, though, was a surprise cover – of none other than Australian rock artist Daryl Braithwaite’s 90s classic, ‘Horses’. Yes, Harry Styles played ‘Horses’ at the Perth leg of his tour, which means you can probably expect to see him cover the pub hit at his other Australian gigs.

Styles also celebrated World Pride, bringing out a Pride flag in the middle of what he called a “disco medley” that included Daydreaming, Treat People With Kindness and What Makes You Beautiful.

Now our West Coast friends have had a chance to see Harry Styles in action, we’re all waiting very impatiently for the man to make his way across to the East. What we’re really hoping for though is a few glimpses of Styles in the wild. Maybe he’ll make an appearance at Bondi Beach, or incognito at a Melbourne pub?
