In case you missed it, there is just over one month until the highly-anticipated release of Don’t Worry DarlingTo whet our appetite before it drops into cinemas Warner Bros. has released a previously unseen clip from the movie starring an incredibly passionate Harry Styles (aka our fever dream) and Florence Pugh.

In the 19-second clip, Styles in his native British accent is arguing with his on-screen wife. The character Jack says, “Not everyone gets this opportunity and if you keep talking like this, you’re going to put it all at risk.” Alice swiftly responds,”You’re worried about a demotion? That’s what you’re worried about?”

The psychological thriller is based in the 1950s and follows a married couple that live in an experimental community. The wife soon finds out that all is not what it seems and darks secrets begin to unravel. Judging by the trailer it features some pretty steamy scenes too, but in an interview Pugh hoped viewers looked past the sex scenes.

In a recent interview she said, “When it’s reduced to your sex scenes, or to watch the most famous man in the world go down on someone, it’s not why we do it. It’s not why I’m in this industry.”

Pugh added, “Obviously, the nature of hiring the most famous pop star in the world, you’re going to have conversations like that. That’s just not what I’m going to be discussing because [this film is] bigger and better than that. And the people who made it are bigger and better than that.”

The film has been plagued by scandal after it was reported that Pugh and Olivia Wilde have been feuding due to the director’s affair with Styles. Wilde denied the claims in a recent interview with Variety this week, saying, “There has been a lot out there that I largely don’t pay attention to.”

Don’t Worry Darling releases into Australian cinemas from October 6, 2022. Watch the trailer below.
