Justin and Hailey Bieber sparked pregnancy rumours back in September of 2021 when the popstar was photographed holding his wife’s stomach on the Met Gala red carpet. That speculation was quickly shut down but it hasn’t stopped questions about when the longtime couple might begin trying (not that it’s anybody else’s business but their own).
Following the release of the Justin Bieber: Our World documentary, we were led to believe that it could happen as soon as 2022. But according to an interview in February 2022, the model was not at all ready.
Speaking to Wall Street Journal ahead of the launch of her beauty brand, Hailey said, “I think I had it ingrained in my head that I was going to want to have kids right away, and I was going to want to have kids super, super young. Then I turned 25 and I’m like, I’m still super, super young.”
Despite this, she added they will start trying in the “next couple of years”. “But there’s a reason they call it try, right? You don’t know how long that process is ever going to take. Definitely no kids this year [2022]; that would be a little bit hectic, I think.”
The couple married in September 2019. Despite constant scrutiny, the Biebers have always been very open about their marriage. This could all come to an end shortly, after the 26-year-old told the publication that she will no longer discuss her personal life.
“The media loves to take a tiny little blurb of something for clickbait,” she said, adding that “the media has always been a disgusting thing.”
The model continued, “Behind closed doors, we’re two really normal people that just have not-normal lifestyles and careers,” she said. “I think given the magnitude of Justin’s career, he’s a very normal person, and I don’t think that always happens.”
