Hailey Bieber has announced that she will be blessing the world with a new addition to her beauty brand, Rhode – a limited-edition flavour of the cult Peptide Lip Treatment in Vanilla Cake, which will launch on her birthday next week. And while here in Australia we’re still not able to shop from Rhode directly (sob) we can shamelessly copy her makeup routine.
In a new interview ahead of the new Peptide Lip Treatment launch, Bieber has revealed exactly which products she’ll always have on hand in her makeup bag. “I honestly don’t wear makeup very often in my daily life because I get it done often for work, and I want to give my skin a break,” she told Byrdie.
“But, if I were going on a quick weekend trip and needed my makeup essentials, I would need a brow gel. I’d also bring concealer, the Peptide Lip Treatment, nude lip liner to enhance my natural lips, cheek balm to add some color, and SPF.”
Bieber is known for her minimal approach to makeup, so it’s perhaps unsurprising that her routine is relatively low-key. When asked in another interview what her five minute makeup routine would be, she revealed that her entire repertoire typically takes less than 10 minutes regardless.
“It’s really funny because usually I do my makeup in five, 10 minutes anyway. I like things that are easy to use and multipurpose,” she said. “If I was rushing out the door, I would definitely use a little brow gel, a little mascara, and then some form of a berry blush on the cheeks, and then I’d probably use the same color on the lips, and swipe a little Peptide Lip Treatment.”
The model also offered an update on the status of her signature glazed donut nails, which went viral earlier this year and prompted thousands of us to head into our local salon and request the same creamy-chrome combination. However Bieber hasn’t been rocking her trademark nail look of late, which she says is down to simply wanting to switch it up.
“I just felt like I needed to take a break, because I was going glazed donut nails every single day for, like, six months straight. Then we were getting into the fall, and I was like, “I think I just want a black manicure,” she told BAZAAR US. “Dark tones—dark purple, dark red, dark brown. But I definitely will bring it back.”
However with her 26th birthday looming, Bieber admits she’ll likely opt for a glazed finish again. “My birthday nails will probably be glazed donut. She’ll be back,” she said.
