Gwyneth Paltrow continues to make headlines for the most unlikely reasons. Other than her wellness brand, Goop, which almost always has her landing in hot water (most recently, there was a long-form feature on the Goop cruise making the rounds on Twitter), this year, Paltrow was in court, wearing a range of stealth wealth looks while accusing a former orthodontist of skiing into her in Utah, complimenting his lawyer on her shoes in the process.

Now that the case is wrapped (Paltrow, naturally, won), the former actress is taking some time to focus on the important things, such as who of her former A-lister boyfriends is better in bed.

While appearing on the Call Her Daddy podcast as a guest, Paltrow was asked by host Alex Cooper to play a game called “Brad or Ben?” — that’s Brad Pitt or Ben Affleck, of course — where Cooper asked a series of rapid-fire questions and Paltrow had to answer who best applied.

When faced with the question, “Who is better in bed?” Gwyneth replied: “That’s really hard. Because Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, and then Ben was, like, technically excellent.” This woman is an expert in media training.

Earlier in the conversation, Paltrow opened up about her “major, major love at first sight” connection with Pitt and the reason they ultimately broke up, despite Pitt proposing six months prior in 1996.

“One night we were on the balcony of this house we were renting in this little town in Argentina,” Paltrow said of how Pitt proposed. “I wish I remembered exactly what he said, but he proposed, it was fantastic, I was thrilled. We had talked about it, but I was surprised in the moment, I remember that. I must have been 24.”

Although their eventual breakup was “really hard,” Paltrow stands by the decision, saying it was still  “the right thing at that time.”

“There were a number of things that had happened, he was nine years older than me so he was far more … he knew what he wanted, he was ready to do it and I was kind of all over the place,” Paltrow said. “So it was really one of those difficult things, where I felt like, ‘Oh my God, not only am I not ready, I’m not living up to the standards again.’ It was a familiar refrain I felt about myself.”

Paltrow, who is now married to producer Brad Falchuk, says she’s still close with Pitt today (unsurprising, given this is the woman who invented consciously uncoupling.) “He’s a great guy,” she continued. “He’s wonderful, I really like him a lot.”

In a 2022 interview with Goop, Paltrow interviewed Pitt where she quipped she married the right Brad (Falchuk).

“I finally found the Brad I was supposed to marry,” she told Pitt.

“And it’s lovely to have you as a friend now,” Pitt replied.
