As someone, who admittedly hasn’t put on heels in a year, I can’t even remember how badly it hurts to spend a night in stilettos. As I type this article in my beloved Ugg Women’s Fluff Yeah Slides, I’m watching celebrities on the 93rd annual Oscars red carpet, feeling a mixture of jealously and fear for their poor feet. Scrolling through Instagram, though, I came across a genius plan of attack for the evening shared by Hillbilly Elegy nominee Glenn Close. The 74-year-old shared a video of a very kind soul layering up her a foot massage with CBD body cream (watch the video, if you so please, here).

According to eagle-eyed Instagram followers, the body cream is Care By Design Cannabis Pain Cream, which the Cruella executive producer has seemingly turned to as a way to prepare for that high heel-induced pain preemptively. The brand describes the cream as follows:

“Our 1:1 Pain Cream is packed with full-spectrum cannabis, CBD, THC, and minor cannabinoids THCa and CBDa. Our pain cream is enhanced with aloe vera, shea butter, and other soothing botanical ingredients to benefit both your mind and body. Our rejuvenating cream is non-psychoactive when applied directly to the skin, so you can enjoy the effects regardless of your THC tolerance. Good for those who are looking for a CBD solution that works directly when applied to your skin.”

As seen on the awards show’s red carpet, the actress slipped into a pair of black suede heels for the ceremony. “I’m feeling great,” she told Giuliana Rancic on the red carpet, adding, “My shoes are comfortable.” Iconic. As for the rest of her ensemble, she turned heads in a custom royal blue embellished two-piece Giorgio Armani Privé outfit. We don’t know who designed her shoes just yet, but teamed with the CBD cream and her pre-Oscars adult beverage, she’s likely in great shape.
