Gigi Hadid has done it again, and this time it’s a top knot. For a summer party in London this week, Hadid attended in a neon lime green dress from Self Portrait and a perfectly coiffured bun. The supermodel is known for turning some show-stopping beauty looks, but we have to admit – her latest efforts might just be our new favourite.
The sleek look was the work of hair legend Sam McKnight, who pulled Hadid’s platinum tresses back in a sleek high ponytail. The lengths were then delicately wrapped around the base of the model’s ponytail and secured with pins, creating the perfect plump, ever-so-slightly messy bun.
McKnight also left two sizeable front sections loose to frame Hadid’s face, which created a distinctive look that the hairstylist dubbed “a twist on the 90’s” on Instagram. He also revealed that his top styling product for the look was of course his eponymous Sam McKnight Happy Endings Nourishing Balm, which is said to tame frizz and flyaways – hence Hadid’s sleek finish.
Makeup followed Hadid’s signature glowy bronze base, with Sofia Schwarzkopf-Tilbury using Charlotte Tilbury to create a sculpted, luminous look. The model’s lips and eyes featured a similar peachy-nude hue, with a touch of shimmer added to the brow bone, nose and cheek bones. Softly groomed arches, thick lashes and a cat-eye flick at the edge of the eye brought it all together.
But that’s not all – Hadid also had her nail artist Adam Lee paint her digits a gorgeous shade of bright blue, which stood out against the electric green shade of her dress.
