On the day Harry Styles released his namesake album, GRAZIA interviewed Georgia Fowler. A single on the One Direction alum’s album is titled Kiwi and given the rumours the pair met up for secret rendezvous in country London, was this track inspired by Fowler ? “Ooh, I haven’t listened to it, no,” the model replied, blushing. “You just go and live your life, you know. Everyone is just normal people. [The tabloid attention] is really no different and I’m not going to change anything or do anything different… so yeah.” It was at this point in the interview that Fowler – who has been named to return to the coveted Victoria’s Secret runway for a second year – shut down. And rightly so.
But The Morning Show hosts Larry Emdur and Kylie Gillies were definitely going to prod. When they asked Fowler the same question this morning, the smile disappeared from her face before she abruptly answered “Ah, don’t really know anything about it.” “I definitely don’t have a baby!”
A bewildered Gillies didn’t understand her answer to which Fowler clarified. “The song’s all about [having a baby] so I think it’s highly unlikely [it’s about me].”
The pair reportedly dated in late 2015 and even spent time staying at a suite in Babington House hotel in Somerset, England. According to a source at the hotel, the model and singer kept to themselves. “Harry wanted to spend some quality time with Georgia away from prying eyes,” they said. “They kept to themselves and mostly spent their time in their room and garden, ordering food to the room instead of eating in the restaurant”.
“She’s a huge part of the album,” Styles told Rolling Stone of the mystery inspiration. “Sometimes you want to tip the hat, and sometimes you just want to give them the whole cap … and hope they know it’s just for them.”
