Word on the street is that newly single Erika Jayne has been on a string of dates in recent weeks and is firmly back in the saddle amid her divorce from Tom Girardi. If these names seem foreign to you—Who is Erika Jayne? Who is Tom Girardi? Who is Hunky Dory?? You clearly haven’t been keeping up with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills (and you won’t understand that hunky dory joke, either).

For a quick recap, Jayne has been part of the Housewives franchise since 2015. She joined the show married to powerhouse attorney Girardi, whom she met when she was waitressing at one of his favourite restaurants in the ‘90s. The pair were long thought of as one of the show’s strongest couples and were married for 21 years until Jayne shocked fans by announcing their separation in November 2020. Things quickly got messy, but more on that later.

According to TMZ, Jayne has since re-entered the dating scene and has already gone on “a handful of dates with different men,” in the past month. Sources added Jayne has been entertaining both suitors who work in Hollywood as well as those outside the entertainment industry.

Furthermore, instead of signing up to the likes of celebrity dating app Raya, à la Ben Affleck, the 50-year-old reality TV star, who hasn’t dated in decades, is opting to do things the old fashioned way: turning to friends to set her up and only dating local men.

Amid her numerous dates, Jayne is dealing with a lawsuit concerning her estranged ex-husband. Less than a month after the pair announced their separation, things got (very) messy: the former couple were accused of embezzling funds meant for trauma victims represented by Girardi’s former law firm, Girardi Keese, though Jayne has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing. She is currently being sued for $25 million USD by the trustee handling the bankruptcy case for the firm and last week said her former husband controlled her finances throughout their marriage.

During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 11 reunion, Jayne claimed she “gave every paycheck to my husband,” adding, “I’ve handed every paycheck I’ve ever made over.” According to the New York Times, Jayne makes close to $600,000 USD per season of the reality TV show. According to Page Six, Girardi is currently living in a senior home while battling Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

This would make very good TV—oh, wait.
