A few years ago, the rumour mill went into overdrive when former Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson and Tom Felton began frequently being spotted together—and started posting photos of each other and their numerous beach hangouts and guitar lessons–on Instagram. Though the pair had clearly stayed in touch since they met as children on the set of the iconic film franchise in London, many speculated that there could be something more than friendship going on between the two as adults.

Now, Watson has added fuel to the fire, confirming she had a crush on Felton when they first met all those years ago, noting the exact moment she “fell in love” with the Draco Malfoy actor.

“I walked into the room where we were having tutoring,” Watson said, according to ET Canada. “The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backward cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it — I just fell in love with him.”

Of course, we all know Watson for being a vocal feminist now, so it’s cute to see how far back her views went—and how influential they’ve always been in the romantic partners she’s interested in.

Watson added that from that moment on, she had a crush on Felton, who was a few years older than her (when they were cast as Hermione and Draco, Watson was 11-years-old and Felton was 14). “I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day,” she added. “He was three years above me and so for him, he was like, ‘You’re like my little sister.'”

Felton revealed he knew Watson was taken by him thanks to a few gossipy crew members who alerted him to the fact. “I think I was in the hair and make-up chair and someone said something along the lines of, ‘Yeah, she had a crush on you,'” Felton said in the preview clip for the upcoming Harry Potter reunion. “I became very protective over her.”

He added that he would call the bond they have a “kinship,” saying, “I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.”

This isn’t the first time Watson has talked about her crush. In 2011, she told Seventeen, “For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that’s cool.”

Unfortunately for anyone getting their hopes up, Watson is currently dating businessman Leo Robinton, who she’s been with for over a year.
