Emma Corrin‘s affinity for Miu Miu has continued today on the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet. Styled by Harry Lambert (the mastermind behind Harry Styles looks) The Crown star wore a custom yellow strapless gown with long fingerless gloves which showed off her incredible manicure and a bonnet. On Instagram the actress described the look as “crucible realness”.
The ensemble made especially for Corrin pulled inspiration from the winter wonderland-esque Miu Miu Fall 2021 runway. The actress’ show-stopping style is fitting given her prestigious nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series.
Corrin’s co-star Josh O’Connor was also styled by Lambert and wore custom Loewe on the red carpet. He won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series during the evening.
Corrin has since passed on the Diana baton to Elizabeth Debicki who will play the Princess in the next season of The Crown.
“I’m really excited about it. I think Elizabeth is brilliant and I think that it’s totally right to allow her to take on a different kind of life for the next part of [Diana’s] journey,” Corrin told The Wrap in July. “So I’ll be really excited to see what happens.”
While this will be Corrin’s last awards season for The Crown, she is set to appear in the romantic drama film, My Policeman. Based on Bethan Roberts’ 2012 novel, the film is set in the 1950’s and follows a man who believes it is safer to marry a woman rather than the man he loves. Corrin will star alongside Harry Styles and David Dawson.
In early September it was also announced that the actress would feature in the new Netflix film, Lady Chatterley’s Lover. It is said to be a “steamier” version of Bridgerton.
