Her older sisters Mary-Kate and Ashley might be the ones better known for their fashion but Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen is proving that the gene for impeccable style seems to run in the family.
Arriving at the 95th Academy Awards, Olsen delivered the kind of paired back glamour that would make her sisters, founders of ultra-luxury brand The Row, would be proud of. Designed by Givenchy, the figure-hugging black sequinned dress with capped sleeves looked like a modern take on a flapper dress.
Stopping just above the ankles, extra length came from a second sheer layer that created a trail. A simple yet sleek bun, red lips and jewellery by Cartier completed a look that has already been called by some as making Olsen one of the best dressed stars of the night.
Despite the family-linked credentials, the younger Olsen is a rare sighting when it comes to red carpets. Unless there’s a film attached, the Avengers-star prefers to maintain a low profile in the media.
At tonight’s Oscars, Olsen is attending as one of the presenters alongside fellow thespians Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Harrison Ford, Pedro Pascale and Emily Blunt.
