At the moment, temperatures are going up and down as fast as seasonal hemlines. One day it’s sundress-worthy warm, the next, the prickly wind is cold and miserable. But one wardrobe staple that can weather the rise and fall of mercury temps (and sartorial trends) is the denim coat dress – as Dua Lipa so generously reminded us of today.
The 27-year-old hitmaker – who last week was revealed to be a blue-haired cast member in Greta Gerwig’s highly anticipated film Barbie – is currently in the UK ahead of hosting a digital event about how she built her online editorial platform Service95. To run her errands, Lipa stepped out in a long, buttoned-up denim coat dress from Maximilian Davis’ Ferragamo Pre-Fall 2023 collection.
“Dua’s denim coat dress is lightweight enough for layering, but warm enough on its own, especially in Australia’s trans-seasonal temps,” says GRAZIA’s Fashion director Aileen Marr. “It’s structured so it has a good shape to it, and is a great investment for year round.”
