While Virgo season is quickly approaching (how on earth is it almost September?!) bonafide Leo Dua Lipa is sending out the month in style. The Future Nostalgia star celebrated her 26th at the weekend sounding the start of her “birthday week”. The opening act? Head-to-toe Marc Jacobs.
The singer took to Instagram to share a rolodex of images of her chosen look which featured a tiny glittering bralette, a white cropped jacket, floor-grazing canvas skirt and platform heels from the Marc Jacobs Fall 2022 collection. The same runway where Gigi and Bella Hadid seemingly shaved their hair. The look was paired with a Bottega Veneta bracelet and earrings as well as her beloved Bulgari Serptenti ring.
Lipa celebrated her big day surrounded by friends and family including style influencer Sarah Lysander, Rosie Viva, and yoga instructor (and the mastermind behind Lipa’s toned abs) Anabella Landa. On Instagram stories the pop star was surprised with a purple birthday cake emblazoned with tiny daisies.
Lipa’s birthday also marks the anniversary of the release of her first ever single “New Love” from her namesake debut album Dua Lipa in 2015. Aka when we first fell in love with the singer.
She is currently taking a well-needed break from her Future Nostalgia Tour on some far flung coastline in Europe. Given her cultural ties to Kosovo and Albania we can imagine she’s revisiting her home region. Lipa’s travels have unsurprisingly been a wealth of inspiration for Y2K-esque resort wear – Australians should take note. Most recently she appeared in a slinky green slip dress and violet cardigan. Earlier last week she was spotted beachside in cult brand, The Attico.
The singer is preparing to tour through South America in September before travelling to New Zealand and Australia (!) in November.
