It was a case of spot the chain-handled Dior handbag (and tulle midi dress for that matter) on fashion’s A-list as they filed into the Muśee Rodin yesterday for Dior Spring Summer 2018 runway show, which celebrated female artists.

The elegant French museum, which opened almost a century ago to celebrate French sculptor Auguste Rodin, was the perfect blonde hostess for the fashion set who flocked there to take in Maria Grazia Chiuri’s second show for the house of Dior. Fittingly for the works usually housed in the venue, the silhouette du jour off the runway was sculpted to the nth degree.

Nipped in waists, full skirts ranging from knee length to ground, and pretty layered fine jewellery and feminine footwear prevailed. Chiara Ferragni swapped her typical chunky statement shoes for demure kitten heels. Denim did make an appearance but in the form of tailored jumpsuits and full-length gowns.

Emily Ratajkowski drew wide-mouths looks in a tailored white Dior dress that was both sexy and demure. The take-home message? (Apart from the unofficial dress code at any stately Dior event is elevated, even for day.) Distressed is out. Ladylike dressing is in. Even for bombshells like Emily.
