Launched in December 2020, In My Lady… lends rare (and fashionable) insight into Christian Dior handbags from friends of the French fashion house. South Korean singer and actress, Suzy Bae, appeared in episode five to unpack the daily essentials hidden in her Lady Dior My ABCDior Bag.
“[The] Lady Dior bag is my daily accessory,” says Bae. “I always carry it whenever, wherever. It’s almost an iconic accessory for me. It’s utterly essential. Like a friend, I’ll always have by my side.”
First and foremost, Bae’s first item is essential nowadays: hand sanitiser. She carries a traditional alcohol-based liquid as well as a spray iteration for both hands and surfaces. Next, Bae carries a cartoon-esque pencil case which holds a mechanical pencil and highlighter used for when she works on transcripts as well as the current novel she’s reading, Normal People by Sally Rooney. She has appeared in film such as Start-Up, While You Were Sleeping and Vagabond.
Of course her next essential is the Dior Cannage case in mint green. The compact design allows Bae to carry everything from credit cards to receipts. Like the rest of us Bae carries Airpods wherever she goes but in true luxury style, the earphones are protected in a Dior Oblique Jacquard Airpod case.
If you’re skeptical everything can fit in to the chic top-handle bag, Bae then repacks the handbag without bulk or bulge. The magic of the Lady Dior is not only in the craftsmanship.
