Ciara was involved in a car accident on Friday, just weeks before she is due to give birth to her and Russell Wilson’s first child together.
The 1,2 Step singer was driving in Los Angeles when another car hit the front passenger side of her vehicle. Photos from minutes after the crash published by TMZ show the 31-year-old standing next to the accident talking on the phone.
Aware of the concern from the public given Ciara is heavily pregnant – she’s expected to give birth this month or early next – her American pro-footballer husband Russell Wilson took to Twitter to update fans on her condition.
“Momma Wilson & Baby Wilson are feeling great! God is good!” he wrote.
The incident occurred just days after the internet went into meltdown after Ciara, Russell and her two-year-old son Future Jr posed for an intimate family portrait.
After a lavish wedding ceremony in the UK in July, Ciara and Russell announced in October they were expecting their first child together. The couple were public about the fact that they remained celibate until their wedding day on July 6, so it appears Ciara fell pregnant within a couple of weeks. #Blessed

Ciara’s son Future Jr was born from her relationship with rapper Future, with whom she recently finalised a bitter custody battle. TMZ reported that the former couple agreed on joint guardianship, and the little boy will spend most of his time with Ciara but his father is welcome to visit often when he’s not away touring. Ciara dropped a defamation lawsuit against her ex, who sent derogatory tweets about her.
Given Ciara and Russell said they abstained from sex until their July 6 marriage and the pregnancy announcement was made in October, it sounds like we can expect to hear the good news any week now.
