Crammed into back of a Brooklyn warehouse, Brandon Maxwell psyched up a bunch of supermodels ahead of his Spring 2020 show: “This is my childhood dream. I chose every one of you because I know you, or because I’ve admired you from afar. If you see someone in the audience that you know, give ’em a wink and have a good time. Give them a show. It’s a moment for you. It’s a moment for us. Be exactly who the fuck you want to be. That’s all I need from you tonight. The world is dark right now. Fashion is supposed to make you feel fun. Nothing you do out there tonight is going to upset me. Just be you. That’s why you’re here.

Also… check your shoes are on the right way. We’ve got a lot of changes tonight and I’m a little nervous.”

 

 

Like always, the show was polished and chic. Models wore their hair blow dried smooth and glossy, with just a slight bend towards the front to frame the face. The makeup was perfection: Bronzed and glowy, chiseled cheekbones cut in subtly with bronzer, full lips, and the ultimate soft smokey eye. MAC artists even worked in soft faux freckles on some models, for a fresh finish.
