The gossip mill may be running rampant in the Upper East Side of New York City this week with the news that Gigi Hadid and Leonardo DiCaprio are dating, but when it comes to the OG Gossip Girl, life couldn’t be more wholesome. As proven today when the real-life Serena van der Woodsen, Blake Lively, revealed she’s expecting her fourth child with her husband Ryan Reynolds.

As has become her signature red carpet move, the actress debuted her baby bump — and, simultaneously, her baby news — on the red carpet this evening, wearing a figure-hugging sequin mini dress to the 10th Annual Forbes Power Women’s Summit.

Channelling her former Upper East Side character with her sparkly dress, Lively finished her look with white stiletto heels, a white neck scarf and a preppy matching headband. During the event, Lively made a joke about her expanding family, saying, “I just like to create. Whether that’s baking or storytelling or businesses or humans, I just really like creating.”

In 2019, the 35-year-old, who is already mum to three daughters, James, 7, Inez, 5, and Betty, 3, similarly used a red carpet event to reveal her expanding family, breaking the internet at the time when she appeared alongside her husband at the premiere of Detective Pikachu wearing a yellow gown with her then-unannounced baby bump on display.

Though Lively and Reynolds, who married in 2012, keep their children out of the public eye as much as possible, they do share snippets of their family life through social media and interviews, such as when Lively told Forbes in May of this year that having children made her “feel so much more in my skin.”

“I never felt more myself or at ease in my own body or more confident,” she said at the time. “Not to say that there aren’t a bevy of insecurities coming at me a million times a day, but I just feel incredibly settled.” We truly do love to see it.
