There’s no question Hollywood superstar Blake Lively can rock a red carpet gown – or a slick tailored suit for that matter – but in this post-show interview at Paris Fashion Week, she’s just shown us she understands the intricacies of luxury fashion and design as well.
Speaking to the camera before and after the Dior Spring Summer 2019 collection presentation Lively, who was clearly a VIP guest of the brand for the event given she wore pieces from the new collection, talks about the workmanship and intention of designer Maria Grazia Chiuri.
It’s always interesting to hear celebrities speak as ‘themselves’ given the only time most of us observe their voice is in character. Lively proves she’s easy-going but smart and incredibly style-informed during the brief moments she’s on camera.
Likewise, American star Shailene Woodley and English actress Olivia Cooke are interviewed about the show and their take on Chiuri’s SS19 collection, which was inspired by famous dancers and choreographers of the modern era and featured professionals dancing around the runway as models walked amongst them. “The clothing was super romantic but also industrial,” says Cooke of the collection.
