PerfumeTok is a weird and wonderful place. A sub-section of TikTok dedicated to fragrance, it’s made up of fragrance devotees who share hot takes on new launches, celebrity scents, fragrance personalities and individual notes. It’s given rise to viral topics like Rihanna’s smell, the cult of Baccarat Rouge 540 and rich girl smells — but right now PerfumeTok is buzzing about coconut perfumes.
With over one million views on the hashtag #coconutperfume, the hype is around unlikely fragrances that give off an island girl vibe. Some of the featured scents — Rihanna’s original Reb’l Fleur… remember that? — are a little obscure, so we’ve compiled 7 of our contemporary favourites, from Guerlain to Tom Ford (island vacation optional).
