What a joy it was to see haute couture shows back on the IRL agenda for the Fall 2022 season. A parade of frothy sartorial confections felt like just the antidote we needed this side of the pandemic, with a whole host intrepid beauty looks to boot.

It seems hair and makeup teams relished the opportunity to flex their creativity once again, dreaming up a series of artistic looks to complement the otherworldly clothes sent down the runway. Here are some of GRAZIA‘s standout beauty moments from haute couture week.

Models at Dior wore vivid blue eyeliner (yep, evidently blue is going to be big this year) that ran along the lower lashline and tapered out into an extended wing.

Giambattista Valli

OTT sculptural hair art stole the show at Giambattista Valli, with towering bows, bouffants and feathers.

Iris Van Herpen

3D nail art was used to create the stunning effect of water droplets on fingernails at Iris Van Herpen.

Jean Paul Gaultier

We saw soaked, slicked strands at Jean Paul Gaultier, paired with intricate tattoo work across models’ faces.
