Bella Hadid always brings it in the beauty department, but we need to take a moment to appreciate her efforts this past week at the Cannes Film Festival. The model took the opportunity to return to the iconic red carpet with a whole host of avant-garde hairstyles, each more intricate than the last.
It began from day one, with Hadid donning a tight up-do that pulled all the hair off her face. A razor-sharp part run down the middle of her scalp, with the lengths twisted into a neat pile at the crown of her head, for a simultaneously youthful and sophisticated look.
Next we were treated to old Hollywood glamour, with Hadid dialling up the drama for a dinner hosted by Chopard. The hair was again styled away from the face, with sculptural wet-look finger waves holding the front sections in place and the lengths gathered into a long ponytail and left to hang straight and loose.
But perhaps Hadid’s greatest hair triumph this week comes courtesy of stylist Peter Lux. Lux once again pulled Hadid’s raven locks back into a tight bun, but this time there was a fashion-forward twist. As the hair looped together to form the thick up-do, Lux chose to leave the ends extended and unsecured, resulting in another polished yet entirely unique hair look.
C’est magnifique, to say the least.
