British TV personality Piers Morgan’s strategy for staying relevant in a changing world seems to be tearing down women.
Morgan regularly tries to shame famous women, usually for wearing revealing clothing, with his targets including Emily Ratajkowski, Cheryl Cole, Little Mix and Ariana Grande.
Now, Grande may have convinced the hypocritical, sexist Morgan to change his ways, or at least contemplate them. The No Tears Left To Cry Singer ran into Morgan in a Los Angeles restaurant this week where they had a “productive conversation.”

Morgan was first to share this surprising development with the world, tweeting a selfie of he and Grande and writing:
“So … we bumped into each other in a LA restaurant, she joined me for ‘a chat’ and two hours later we were still chatting,” the 53-year-old wrote.
“We laughed, we argued, she cried, I nearly did, the drinks flowed & we bonded.
“Turns out we really like each other. Weird. Thank u @ArianaGrande – next?”
Confirming the feeling was mutual, Grande replied:

In a reply to a fan, the singer elaborated:
“We bumped into each other at a restaurant. And i decided to sit with him and we spoke for a while. I think some progress was made! Turns out face to face discussions are a bit kinder and gentler, even if you do indeed disagree.”
As the divide seems to be widening between different political, religious and other groups in our world, and abusing those with opposing opinions online is becoming the norm, maybe we could all use more old-fashioned face-to-face conversations.
Or, maybe Morgan admitted defeat back in November when Grande pointed out his hypocrisy for saying women shouldn’t use their sexuality to sell music.
We’ll be watching this development with cautious, but hopeful, interest.
