Apple Fitness+ was once exclusive to Apple Watch users with guided workouts across a myriad of disciplines. Need a quick HIIT session? Perhaps a bliss yoga practice? It’s available with personalised metrics straight from your wrist. In very good news for smart phone users the platform has now arrived to iPhone across 21 countries.

Even if you don’t own an Apple watch, subscribers can access the entire service featuring over 3,000 studio-style workouts and meditations from iPhone, iPad and Apple TV.

The announcement is accompanied by a solo Artist Spotlight from Taylor Swift featuring newly released songs from her album, Midnights. The singer’s breakup anthems are surprisingly effective at burning some calories. Fitness+ will also introduce a new workout program, Yoga for Every Runner, featuring one of the world’s top ultramarathon athletes, Scott Jurek, and led by Fitness+ Yoga trainer Jessica Skye.

The platform’s famous Time to Walk series will also see a refresh by adding new guests including Emmy-winning actor Hannah Waddingham, singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor, and former astronaut and colonel Eileen M. Collins.

If you’re looking to workout to a certain vibe, Fitness+ has introduced three new collections: Totally ’80s Cycling (costume optional), Best Mindful Cooldowns for Athletes, and 14-Day HIIT and Strength Challenge.

“We built Fitness+ to be the most inclusive and welcoming fitness service in the world, and the response from our users has been overwhelmingly positive. We wanted the amazing impact of Fitness+ to reach iPhone users and make it easier than ever to get started on your health and fitness journey,” said Jay Blahnik, Apple’s vice president of Fitness Technologies. “Whether users want to get outside and go for a walk with Time to Walk, improve their running with ultramarathoner Scott Jurek or get moving to one of their favourite artists, like Taylor Swift, there really is something for everyone to stay motivated.”

Consider us sold. Apple Fitness+ is available as a subscription service for $14.99 AUD per month or $119.99 annually. Three months free of Apple Fitness+ are included for new subscribers with the purchase of eligible new products. Learn more, here.
