New York Fashion Week is alive and happening — and we’re thoroughly enjoying the onslaught of IRL fashion moments, both on the runway and on the street.

So far we’ve witnessed strong glamour from Carolina Herrerra, a highly Instagrammed Julia Fox moment at LaQuan Smith, and romantic New York nostalgia at Coach. And overnight, Anna Sui served up a very notable beauty look: raw skin, nude lips and a graphic liquid liner.

Directed by the imitable Pat McGrath, the look was gritty, edgy and extremely cool. Dubbed a mod/nuwave eccentric cat eye, the Euphoria-esque shape moved from the inner corner into a feline flick, finished with an open halo across the top lid.

The quirky shape was complimented with clean, slightly-glossed skin, a bushy brow, nude lips and hardly anything else.

The hair — when not hidden by a knitted bonnet — was undone and slightly textured; as if it had simply air-dried.

The mod beauty mood was in sync with the collection itself: inspired by the ’60s, the British music scene, fun Friday night energy and an overwhelming (and overdue) sense of pure joy. Paired with nostalgic studded belts, violet sequinned mini’s, flirty tweed sets and crafty embroidered details, it was fresh, fun and the perfect collection to wear out. Here’s hoping we can just find a stead hand to recreate the eye look.
