Alexis Bledel starred opposite her future husband Vincent Kartheiser as ill-fated lovers on AMC’s Mad Men

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling’s recent baby cover-up was seriously impressive (when it was revealed Eva had given birth two weeks earlier, the public didn’t even know she was pregnant). But now Gilmore Girls star Alexis Bledel has gone and taken the cake for the best secret celebrity pregnancy and birth (that we know of?)
The actress, who plays Rory Gilmore in the original series and upcoming revival, and her Mad Men actor husband Vincent Kartheiser welcomed a son in spring 2015. The only reason we’re discovering this now, more than six months later, is because her Gilmore Girls co-star Scott Patterson, AKA Luke spilled the beans to Glamour:
“It was great to see [Alexis]. She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy. I remember her as an 18-year-old kid, fresh out of college coming into Hollywood and being a little overwhelmed. She’s just the most likable, intelligent person and adorable human being. She hasn’t changed at all. She looks the same. We’re comparing notes because my son is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.”
The Gilmore Girls revival will be a four-part Netflix series and star original cast members including Bledel, Patterson, and Lauren Graham, and even Melissa McCarthy will make a brief appearance. As for the release date, like Alexis’ baby news, Netflix are doing a good job of keeping that a secret, although it’s believe it will air before the end of the year.
