Alex Rodriguez, like most of us, knows that the best way to recover from an earth-shattering breakup is to throw yourself into work. Granted, A-Rod’s split was hardly pedestrian and particularly devastating given he was dumped by Jennifer Lopez, but it seems he’s moved on from the wallowing phase and on to a new venture – makeup for men.

The former baseball star recently announced his collaboration with mens health brand, Hims. The partnership saw Rodriguez create a compact concealer that covered blemishes and wrinkles as and when men needed it. Speaking about the collaboration on his Instagram page, Rodriguez said the product was born from his own needs.

“Working with the Hims & Hers team, I wanted to create a product that solved an issue I faced every day,” he wrote. “I realised as I was jumping from meeting to meeting, I needed something quick and easy in my routine to conceal blemishes or razor bumps. That’s why I am excited to share a new @Hims product – The Blur Stick. It’s a convenient concealer specifically designed for men that can be used for skin imperfections. Check it out, I think you’ll be surprised how often it comes in handy.”

The brand describes The Blur Stick as ‘facial camouflage’ that comes in eight shades and covers up blemishes to razor burn to dark eye circles with this easy-to-use formula. The pocket-sized packaging was designed to be discreet, and can be applied and blended with fingertips for a natural finish.

The product marks A-Rod’s first foray into the beauty sphere. We wonder what his beauty entrepreneur ex JLo thinks?
