In Paris, the celebrity style set has congregated once again to observe the latest from the mind of Pieter Mulier, creative director of Alaïa.
Though the eternal city is currently experiencing uproar, the show went on, and guests didn’t hold back with the outfits to match the maison’s femme fatale aesthetic. With the folding seats that served as invitations in tow, attendees brought their style A-game in styles that any fashion fan would instantly connect to the Parisian atelier. From signature hoods and figure-hugging silhouettes, to statement stilettos and ultra-flattering drapery, the off-the-runway looks (almost) stole the show.
Naturally, the presentation drew an A-list crowd in the form of fashion veterans and fresh faces. Supermodel Amber Valletta cut a striking figure in a black hooded blouse with a loose wrap neckline tucked into a pintstripe pencil skirt. With her hair slicked back—in what seemed to be a bit of a theme with show-goers—Valletta let her chrome accessories stand out.
Also taking to the brand’s signature hooded look was Gwendoline Christie. Looking like an edgier Marilyn Monroe, the actress looked incredible in a crisp white tea dress, cinched by a chunky black belt and accessorised with white woven pumps.
Despite swapping out her usual colourblocking for a more daring black ensemble, Tracee Ellis Ross still managed to exude a vibrancy with a high-neck netted midi dress and matching mesh wedge heels that showed off plenty of skin.
Singer Rita Ora took a similar turn with her outfit, only in a delicate lace finish—and sans the slip underneath, while Irina Shayk channelled Matrix style in a unique layered suit set and sleek black sunglasses.
Also notably in attendance were a slew of other famous faces in killer looks, including Tina Kunakey, who perfected casual cool in barrel-shaped denim and a crossover white shirt, Rebecca Dayan in a sheer lilac number, and Princess Sirivannavari Nariratana of Thailand in an ab-baring purple two-piece set.
